A funeral for Arnold Reed

My name is Stephani. I am the youngest daughter of Arnold Reed.

For those who don't know, my dad was diagnosed with end stage liver disease about a year ago. This month, he began receiving hospice services at home. At the time I am writing this, he is still alive, but we are very unsure how much time we have left. I know many people wait until after a person has passed to make a page like this, but although it has been painful to watch the process, we realize we are lucky in knowing the end is coming and being able to make the most of the time we have left.

This morning we met with the funeral home, and found out that the industry really does love to kick you when you're down. Arnold has been unable to work for some time due to his worsening health, and like many is now unable to afford to die. If you knew him, you know he was always the person to give whatever money he had to anyone who needed it, and would probably hate me asking for help with this, but we could really use the help in making sure my family is able to say goodbye in the way he wanted.

If you are able to donate anything, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to my family. We are doing our best to make sure that his final days are as comfortable as possible, and free from worry.
