A fundraiser to support Michael and Sarah Oduro

A few words from Michael and Sarah-

 

Have you ever woke up from a terrible nightmare, went back to sleep hoping your nightmare wouldn’t reappear but, wake up sadly mistaken?

 

On January 26, 2021, the nightmare began and on March 11, 2022, the nightmare reappeared. Many of you know how devastating the Oduro-Mensah household was last year at the passing of our father Mr. Kwame Oduro (May his Beautiful soul continue to Rest In Peace). Any time a father is removed from a family, the foundation is left very weak. Even still, the Lord, our eternal father stepped in and provided for the fatherless family. Unfortunately, life did not give this family any breaks. Similar to last year, the beginning of 2022 started difficult for our dear mother Ruth Mensah. Our mother spent the entirety of January extremely ill, and her health took an extreme turn, regressing even further in February.

 

At 5:38 am on March 11th, Mama Ruth went to spend eternity with our Father. Mama Ruth was a great mother, sister, wife, and friend to many. Her biggest attribute was her heart for God, and love for people. Everyone can attest that she was caring, loving, and patient. Mama Ruth would give her last to anyone in trouble or need. Her heart for God consistently revealed itself through her dedication to ministerial work. Most importantly, she was Michael and Sarah’s mother. She was their rock, their provider, and their everything. God worked immensely through this woman to give her children everything they needed on Earth.

 

It’s truly devastating that He took her away and even more devastating that she was taken away just a year after her husband. Unless you’ve been there, you can only imagine how distraught Michael and Sarah are mentally, physically, and emotionally. We are so confused as to why the Lord decided to take both Kwame Oduro and Ruth Mensah away from their children. No one will be able to wrap their minds around this second tragedy. With all that being said, the Oduro-Mensah family asks for you to give from your heart, whether big or small. Your giving will help lay this wonderful Woman of God and mother to rest.
