As many of you might have seen, and for those of you who do not know, on January 12th, my dad was in a horrible car crash on George Washington Memorial Parkway in Washington, D.C. He was hit at a high speed from behind and his car was flipped several times off the road and into the Potomac River. Due to the accident, he was left severely injured with four broken ribs, a broken shoulder, internal bleeding in his chest and a punctured lung that eventually collapsed. Thankfully the amazing nurses and doctors at George Washington Memorial Hospital have been able to drain his chest and stabilize his lung over the past week he has been in the hospital. Our utmost priority remains my dad's health and rehabilitation.
As much as this accident and the shock of my dad’s stay in the hospital has affected our family, so will the financial burden. The cost of care and the time require for rehabilitation will amount to a sum above what we can manage. We understand the significance of asking for help during this challenging time and we appreciate greatly your generosity.
