We are absolutely thrilled to share that, in just 48 hours, we’ve raised an amazing $6,838 from 93 generous donors! Barbara was completely shocked and so deeply touched by this outpouring of love and support—thank you all for making this surprise so special. ❤️

This incredible amount will cover most of her bills, but we know that a little more could make an even greater difference as Barbara prepares for her journey ahead. Because of this, we’ve set a new goal of $10,000 and are aiming to reach it by January 15.

Dear Friends and Family,

Barbara’s birthday is fast approaching—Wednesday, December 18th—and this year, it will be a little different. On January 6th, Barbara will begin her chemotherapy treatments. While none of us can truly understand what she’s going through, we all know just how strong, resilient, and fiercely independent she is.

As a way to show our love and support for Barbara during this time, we’re organizing a special birthday gift. Instead of a traditional present, we’re asking for donations to help Barbara with some of the costs related to her treatment—specifically, a high-quality wig and related treatments that aren’t covered by insurance.

We’re aiming to raise $8,000 to cover the cost of a wig, as well as any additional treatments and resources Barbara may need. The funds will go directly toward helping her feel more comfortable and confident as she faces the journey ahead.

Why this matters: For many undergoing chemotherapy, hair loss is one of the hardest emotional hurdles. A wig can make a huge difference in helping Barbara feel more like herself during treatment. This is something Barbara would never ask for, but we know she would deeply appreciate the support from her family and friends and would do the same for others in need!

The plan: We’re hoping to raise the funds by Barbara’s birthday on December 18th so that we can surprise her with this meaningful gift. Any contribution will go a long way in showing Barbara that we’re here for her—supporting her emotionally and practically as she begins this next chapter.
