In November Sergio was diagnosed with Cancer. He is a loving father, caring husband and devoted educator and while nobody deserves this prognosis, it is especially upsetting to watch someone so young, full of life and with two young children have to carry this burden. The current financial toll this has taken on his family is small compared to its future costs. I am asking for your help in preserving a solid ground for Frank and Natalia. This page is simply about the kids - the family doesn't want any money for any of their personal costs - they just want to make sure Frank and Natalia's futures are as bright as they deserve.
As a father of 3 writing something like this is terrifying and surreal. Sergio has continued to be an active father, even through his treatments. He's found the energy to attend both kids extra curricular activities - even if it was sitting in the passenger seat of his car to watch his son play baseball.
I am writing this as a friend of Sergios. I have known Sergio since we were in Kindergarten - and while our friendship has come in and out of focus through the years, as friendships often do, Sergio has always been an easy to talk to, caring and fun person to be around. I see a lot of him in both his children and I hope that spirit lives on in both of them forever. While this is the saddest thing I have ever had to witness - there is still so much positivity to look back on. Frank and Natalia are as lucky to have Sergio as he is to have them.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
