Helping a friend replace his car after a storm

Help my friend Mike Parrish replace his car. He woke up on his birthday to find his car smashed by a big tree. He had just bought this car less then a week before the storm. Thought it would be safe parked in his complex parking lot untill he got his insurance taken care of. Took him a long time to save up money for his car.

Being a veteran he doesn't get very much per month. After thieves destroyed the ignition of a car he had before this one. He had no choice but to buy another car. He was saving up money to pay for insurance. He had the money for insurance but had to deposit it into the bank. The tree fell before he had a chance to get the insurance taken care off. Not looking for a brand new car. Just something to get him back and forth to medical appointments and visiting his grandkids in Salem.

Thanks to a third party generous donation and selling the smashed car to the scrap yard. The goal has gone down from $4500 to $300. Teresa Owens (step daughter) and I where able to find another car for him. Same kind of car but two years newer. At the auction. Our goal has gone down to cover a few things that the car needs. Like taillight, side mirror and bumper cover.

All this would of not been possible without our community helping out. The third party donation from a client that I did some handyman work for. Has really helped out along with this go fund me. Mike was also able to get his new car insured.
