A friend named Park

Hello my name is Bryan Steger.
I'm a FAVS (film and video studies major) at George Mason University.
This semester I will be creating my senior thesis film called "A friend named Park".
The film is a coming of age film about two young best friends named Bruce and Park whose lives revolve around an imaginary game that they have made up together called "The realm of the heavens". This game is filled with sorcerers such as Park, and Knights such as Bruce. They tend to play this game at their favorite park near their houses. However, one day when they're playing the game together, Park suddenly collapses to the ground.
This leads us to the next day, where Bruce and Ms. Helmer (Bruce's mother) goes to Park and Mr.Bertz's (Park's father) house to check on his best friend's condition. However it's revealed from Mr. Bertz, that Park was diagnosed with leukemia at the hospital the previous night after the incident.
This film will focus on the bonding between Bruce and Park and will share and elaborate how strong friendship is even through such a devastating disease to deal with. I would also like the subject to hit those who've dealt with loved ones who have carried this weight and impact through such hard times dealing with those who have, or had cancer. This film is meant for all audiences. I would love everyone to see this film to express that sometime children don't go through childhood, but move straight towards the hardships in life.
The reason why I want to make this film is because back in the fourth grade I lost a dear friend of mine from cancer. I never truly got to say goodbye to him, but this film is my kind of way to reconnect and truly say my farewell to him.
What the money will be used for:
Renting out an elementary school for two days and the fees.
Food for our crew.
Equipment.
We are filming on:
February 29th,
March 1st,
and March 7th.
We would need the funds by February 25th.
I would really appreciate if you could donate, especially since this story is very special to me. I do not have really any money at all so I thought I could reach out to those who could help if they're interested.
