A loving husband and father of two children. A brother, A Son and friend to many.
On March 1st 2019 Mike finally decided to get the heart ablation surgery he needed to fix his heart arrhythmia that he had been suffering with for years. After the surgery he felt like a new man, calling and texting people to say how incredible it was to feel "normal" again. His exuberant excitement was contagious, and when you spoke to him it was evident he had a wonderful outlook for his future.
Then on March 30th 2019 Tragedy hit. Mike was feeling very ill and passed out, he was taken to the hospital and put into Intensive Care Unit. While there he had a multiple seizures that induced a heart attack. It turns out that he somehow contracted a bacterial infection. The infection had made its way to Mike's brain which caused the seizures. This also caused his brain to swell in some areas. He has not regained consciousness. Within these past few weeks his Family and friends have tried to stay as hopeful as possible, hoping for a miracle.
The doctors for two weeks tried everything they could to help Mike, but now have told his family that there is nothing more they can do.
That this wonderful man's death is inevitable. They have taken Mike off of Life support and now it's just a matter of how long his body will hold out.
Watching this young family going through this is heartbreaking to say the least. His wife has taken a leave from work and has been by his side the entire time. His children are having a extremely difficult time with this, especially his older teenage daughter.
