A Fresh Start: Service Dog for EDS and Emotional Healing
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emily, and I’m reaching out for your support during a difficult time in my life. I’ve been living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a rare genetic connective tissue disorder that causes my joints to be hypermobile, skin to be fragile, and my body to be prone to frequent injuries and severe pain. On top of that, I am navigating a recent divorce that has added additional emotional and financial strain to an already challenging journey.
Living with EDS means I face daily obstacles that affect both my physical and emotional well-being. Simple tasks like walking, standing, or even sitting for long periods can be painful or impossible without support. I’m in need of a service dog to assist with mobility, provide emotional support, and help reduce the risk of injury in my day-to-day life.
A service dog would be a game-changer in my life. They can help with balance, retrieving objects, opening doors, and providing much-needed companionship during times of loneliness and stress. With their help, I would be able to regain some independence and significantly improve my quality of life.
The costs associated with training a service dog are substantial, and as I’m currently going through a divorce, financial stability has become even more challenging. I’m asking for your help to make this life-changing support a reality. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me closer to the goal of having a service dog by my side, helping me navigate life with EDS and finding strength in this difficult time.
Thank you so much for your support, love, and generosity. Every donation brings me one step closer to healing, and I am deeply grateful for your kindness.
With love and gratitude,
Emily
