As of Monday Feb 9th, I was unexpectedly fired from my job from a company who just recruited me over from a competitor and only started there Jan 5,2025. I come highly valued in the mortgage industry, where I’ve worked for over 20 years. The reason for my termination is because I stood by my professional ethics and refused to approve a mortgage loan for a self-employed borrower without reviewing two years of tax returns. That is standard, responsible practice in our industry. 

 The following Monday, I was fired. It was one of the most humiliating and painful experiences of my professional life. And they have done this before to other top loan officers in the industry. 

So today, I find myself without funds and without a job — all at once.

I am also most recently separated from my wife, on Jan 25, 2026 but still need to provide for my 3 beautiful children by paying the mortgage to keep a roof over their head, and pay for their health insurance. I still need to pay their monthly debts and provide the best I can! 

I am a ex-Navy disabled veteran, and quitting is not in my DNA. I believe this is not the end of my story — it’s simply the end of one chapter. I know there is a brighter future ahead, and I trust in God’s plan for my life. But right now, I need help to bridge this gap.
