Hey everybody!

My name is Zoë Maluhia and I'm a 24 year young POC Trans-Fem Artist based in Tempe, AZ. I'm at the beginning of my transition, about 2-3 months (at least). My art forms range from Music Production and Vocal Recording, Visual Arts (Physical Paintings and Drawings), and Book-Writing. I have an all gray cat named Baalü who'll soon be 2 years young in a few months.

My cat and I are living with two roommates in a two bedroom apartment, but it's starting to feel a bit energetically cramped.

As of this previous year in Arizona, I was evicted from an apartment and have been struggling to obtain a position in any job that I've applied to. Initially, i assumed it was because of my own efforts [or the lack thereof]; however, I've noticed that I'm not the only individual who's having troubles obtaining work. I've applied to various positions in my area and i haven't had any luck. So, in the meantime, i've been creating different forms of art from Music Production to Visual Arts and Book-Writing as well as Tarot Reading, Vlogging and Esoteric Studies.

I've started multiple Youtube Channels for all of these outlets; yet, despite this decision being made, I haven't been able to pull in enough funds to be able to support myself and my cat. However, I have been able to pull in a bit of pocket change to buy a few groceries and some canned food for Baalü, so it's not [entirely] useless.

The summer is right around the corner and [as many would know] Arizona gets REALLY hot in the summertime. Baalü and I had gone through the entirety of last summer without proper A/C and ventilation in our previous homes and I've come to the conclusion that after these past few years and experiences living in Arizona, I'd like to move to a new environment to relieve the stress that I've faced from being in this state. I feel as though this state isn't really meant for me, as i once thought.

I'd like a change of scenery, a change of pace. A place with more opportunity for growth within the city without compromising our peace. A place where my cat and I can thrive. A place where Baalü can be comfortable at home and outside without having to power through the excessive heat while I'm at work. It wouldn't be fair for him to go through that again, especially when it can be avoided ahead of time.

My goal is to raise enough money to move myself, Baalü, my books, my music equipment and visual art equipment to a Studio or a One-Bedroom Apartment in Eugene, Oregon. I chose this area because of their cooler temperature, a calmer environment with a lot of green nature, and it's a more compact city than where I [currently] live. I would be able to work a stable job and finally get Baalü his vaccines and a microchip to start taking him on walks through parks.

I would finally be able to get in touch with more musicians in the areas surrounding Eugene and set up events and join bands, or even continue my own. I have a few friends in that region, so there'll be around a community of individuals that help guide me in the right direction as far as work opportunities and business connections.

I'm currently researching the job market to secure a position by the time I move out to Oregon; and my ideal date to move out by the middle of May or the beginning of June. My goal is to get a cheap rental car and pack all of my stuff into the car and drive through California with Baalü. I'm going to stay at a family member's place overnight and drive up from there.

If we could pull together at least $4,000; these funds will be able to cover all of the move in costs, the rental car, as well as any gas, extra fees, and groceries for Baalü and I to ensure we get to our destination safely and have enough to manage for the coming weeks after moving in.

Please donate as much as possible, if you can. A little bit can go a long way for the both of us. My pride, sometimes gets in the way of me asking for help, but at this time, we really need it.
