A Fresh Start for Walnut: Fund His Vet Visit & FeLV Test

*UPDATE*
Walnut has now had his much needed dental work. During the procedure the vet discovered he had a very loose jaw and she suspected he had been hit by a car at some stage. She couldn't say whether the injury was old or not. Walnut lived inside for 3 years so I do hope this is an injury from his former life and not something more sinister. I guess we will never know. She would have wired his jaw for him but she had to remove his incisors so there was nothing to wire it to his bad teeth are gone now though and he is recovering well. No more toothache! His bloods are at the labs and we're awaiting results.

*UPDATE*
Walnut saw the vet today (11/08/2025). He had an abscess in his ear which he got antibiotics for and because he is underweight he has been wormed (but hopefully some good food will help with that!). The bad news is that he would not let them take him bloods at all and he really needs dental work. One his back teeth is in bad shape and is likely to be causing him pain, whilst two of his canines are broken and also need removed. This means we need to raise more funds than we originally thought. The plan is that while he sedated to have his dental work done, he can also have bloods taken. Thanks so much for helping this poor boy to feel better. ❤️‍

This is Walnut, a sweet rescue cat with a gentle soul and so much love to give. He’s been through a lot already, and now he needs a bit of help to move forward to a safe and loving forever home.

Before Walnut can be placed in the right rescue or adopted into a permanent home, he urgently needs a full health check-up and a blood test for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). This is an essential step to ensure he gets the proper care and is placed somewhere that’s best suited for his health and wellbeing.

The total cost for his vet visit and FeLV test is £200 and unfortunately, that’s more than I can cover on my own right now.

Walnut deserves the chance to thrive in a safe, happy home. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards his medical costs and bring him one step closer to the life he deserves. If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this page would mean the world.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Let’s get Walnut the help he needs and give him the fresh start he’s been waiting for.
