My name is Angela, and together with my dog Trudy, we are starting our lives completely over. After selling my home, I moved into a new, downsized, one-level house. Unfortunately, due to a rodent problem at my old house, almost nothing could be brought with us, so we are beginning this new chapter with everything new. It’s been a huge adjustment, and starting from scratch has been both overwhelming and humbling.

The funds raised will help us get the essentials we need to make our new house a home. I’ll use your support for kitchen items, comfort items, food, toys for Trudy, and other daily living essentials. Since none of the food from my old house could be brought along, I also need to fill the kitchen with groceries. Every bit of help will go directly toward making sure Trudy and I have what we need to settle in and feel comfortable and safe.

I have learned through all the life challenges I have faced that there is no shame in asking for help. This is one of the most challenging times of my life so far, and I’m not ashamed to say—I need help. I have been permanently disabled since 2014, have had over 20 surgeries, and have overcome a narcotic addiction. Any amount would help and would be greatly appreciated by Trudy and me. At 57 years old, I am ready to finally succeed without all the struggles from my past and to live without the stress of trying to make ends meet on disability.
