I'm reaching out for a little help for my family of 3. A little back story: my husband is a heavy equipment operator, and with his job, he travels to whichever state has their next job starting up. Three years ago, he got called out to a job in California, so we got on the road from Montana and headed south. My husband started the job, and within a couple of months, he started getting extremely sick. It would come and go for a couple of weeks until he came home early from work one day, and the man never misses work. Well, he was getting worse and worse, losing so much weight, sleeping 23 hours a day, and I saw my husband dying in front of my eyes. After different ERs and urgent cares misdiagnosed him, I had to get him in the car and take him elsewhere, and so I did just that. Well, after that was all said and done, he had VALLEY FEVER, and he was a small percentage that gets it as bad as he had it.

Fast forward three years, he is still not working. He has many difficulties in everyday life; his health isn't getting better, his lungs are damaged forever with nodules still on them. CT scans every four months, blood work, and under close eye with a pulmonologist.

We have come to the point that we financially hit bottom. Yes, there is a workman's comp case, but he just hit the timeline that they pay and was decreased to such a small amount we are not able to pay our rent, storage, or car insurance. I'm actively looking for work. I've been holding off on that before because the thought of our 7-year-old son, who is on the spectrum and has ADHD, witnessing his dad going through an episode of not being able to breathe would be extremely traumatic for him to see.

There was an income coming in that was paying our bills and keeping us afloat until there was a drastic decrease as it has hit a timeline for that pay with the workman's comp. With only a week's notice that it was changing, we are left in this situation of needing a little help this month as I'm praying I can start work and get things back to being afloat.
