I’ve been working hard to create a new beginning in Portland after becoming homeless in Washington state, where I lost my car, my home, and a big part of myself. My goal is to use the funds to pay off debt collections and tickets, get reliable transportation so I can stay employed, and help take care of my grandma with her bills. It would also allow me to return home to Washington and have a fresh start where I can rebuild stability and peace in my life again. I’ve faced stress and depression for the past two years, yet I’ve kept my faith and continued working no matter how hard it’s been. Having a vehicle again and being able to celebrate my birthday on June 7 with hope rather than worry would mean everything—it would truly mark the start of a new chapter for me.
