This is a fundraising for a forever home for DMK Animal Shelter in Uganda.

DMK Animal Shelter is an animal shelter created by Calvin Kigozi in Uganda. Calvin was inspired to start up an animal rescue organization for the love of animals in his community. The animal shelter is helped and managed by Calvin's friends: Kenneth Kubulu, Alex Kasaga, and Andrew Sempira.

On top of providing food and medical care for the rescued animals, DMK Animal Shelter is charged a $350 rental fee per month. It has consistently been a challenge for DMK Animal Shelter to make the payment for the rent. To solve this problem, Calvin, the founder of DMK Animal Shelter has decided to purchase a piece of land and would like to transform the land into a forever home for rescued animals of DMK Animal Shelter.

Currently, Calvin is being offered a piece of land that is located in the Kassanda district, with an area of 2 hectares.

In June of 2023, flash floods destroyed the old DMK Animal Shelter.

Multiple pups either have gone missing or died from the injury.

Building the new DMK Animal Shelter becomes a priority.

Emergency funding is needed to build the new shelter.

Building the shelter requires the following materials and costs:

4 trips - bricks

4 trips - sands

100 timbers

30 iron sheets

100 kgs nails

15 stand polls

Calvin and his friends at DMK Animal Shelter would like to ask for assistance to make their dream of building a long-term sanctuary for rescued animals at Calvin's community in Uganda comes true.

Currently, all donations are sent to either Asha Birungi, the shelter's secretary, or Kasifah Namuyaga, who is a friend and a helper of the DMK Animal Shelter that takes care of small puppy rescues.
