My name is Tania, and with a heavy heart I share that my beloved Grandpa, Margarito, unexpectedly passed away on August 7th. He leaves behind his devoted wife, three adult children, and a family who adored him more than words can express.
My Grandpa was the definition of love and generosity. He did anything for his family—whether it was making spontaneous trips to the store to satisfy his daughter’s cravings, surprising me with a little soda as a kid to brighten my day, or opening his home and heart to help raise his now-grown five grandchildren. From caring for Anthony and Meli alongside their mother to being a steady presence in all of our lives, nothing ever stopped him from supporting and taking care of everyone.
He also created a tradition that runs deep in our family—our love for the Dodgers. It began when he took his children to Dodger games during the era of Fernandomania, and from then on, baseball became one of the ways we bonded as a family. Cheering for the Dodgers and Chivas with him was one of his greatest joys.
Grandpa Margarito was more than a husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa—he was a godfather, a friend, and the heart of our family. We want to honor him with the beautiful service he deserves.
All donations will go directly toward funeral expenses. We are deeply grateful for any support you can provide, whether through a contribution or by sharing this page.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
