A Final Tribute to Grandma Ruby's Kindness

My name is Colin Gibson and I'm raising funds for my Grandma Ruby Merkel who was born Sept. 19, 1935 and who passed this morning 06/28/2025 @ around 10:00 AM PST.

Grandma Ruby was a Saint. She took in children that weren't hers, myself included, and allowed them to be part of her family. She treated them as her own. She made sure we had food to eat and somewhere to sleep.

I'm putting this together to show my appreciation of her actions long, long ago. Grandma Ruby was always our safe haven. She will always be remembered. And because she deserves to be buried with her one and only love, Grandpa Herbert Merkel.

The photo shows Grandma Ruby Merkel and her late husband Grandpa Herbert Merkel (R.I.P. 02/03/1933-11/03/2016). They were both wonderful, amazing, and caring people. They were good people. The kind of people you don't find in this world very often anymore. They may not have been blood. But they were Family. They both are and always will be sorely missed.
