A Final Home For Carlos

To all our family, friends and loved ones-

I cannot believe the words even as I type them. After a lengthy battle with kidney disease

over the past several months, our beloved Carlos left us on Tuesday, 6/7/22. In all that time, we never let ourselves consider the possibility that he wouldn't overcome and be back on the road to health, but it was not meant to be. I never imagined he would die only three months

after turning 40 and had no plans on how or where he would want to have his final resting

place. I made the best choices that I could for those of us he left behind, including the true

love of his life, our daughter Sophia. As we navigate what our future looks like and find his

final resting place, many have asked how they can help. This is one small way, and please

know we appreciate all the support, not just monetary. Calls, texts and visits are just as

meaningful to us. Sophia and I need a village.
