Beloved Husband & Son

This is a love story that ended way too soon.

We began our life journey in 1986.  Once we started dating, we never left each other’s side.  Our life was filled with more love, life and laughter than I could’ve ever hoped for.  We have tackled up’s and down’s that life threw at us.  We always had each other’s back and always looked forward, never back.

Together, we have raised, rescued and loved our four-legged fur-babies, known as our pitbulls.

We shared the love of the sea, music, and of course the beer.  Let’s not forget the love we both shared for our family and friends.

We had just recently started our own coffee business, Captain’s Roasting Company.  We would spend our Sundays at the Pasadena Farmer’s Market and our business was truly starting to thrive.  We were going to conquer the world together one coffee cup at a time.

Our love for one another was unconditional and I could not have asked for a better man in my life.  Mike was my best friend, my confidant, my rock, my one true love.

Sadly our journey ended the evening of October 20, 2017.  I received a call from Mike and he indicated he has a horrible knot in his shoulder blade, which I could feel.  We thought he had over used his body from yard work.  He was in a great deal of pain.  I had tried to manage it with the usual treatments, aspirin, icy/hot, a massage and home cooking, but it never let up.  At this point, we realized it was pretty serious as nothing was working and the pain increased, I called the paramedics.

Mike went into full cardiac arrest within minutes of the call.

When the paramedics arrived, they did all that they could, but my best friend, my lover, my husband of 23 years was gone.

For those of you who knew us, you know fame and fortune were not our priority.  With that being said, I have started this GoFundMe page.  Anything that can be given will be used in Honor of Mike.
