Hey guys, it's me, Jake!

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I try not to ask for help often, especially publicly. But…this is for a dear friend of mine.

So I'm asking for your help, please.

Richard Owen Ransom passed away on May 5th this year and, due to complications, has remained in the Salt Lake County, Utah Morgue at the M.E.'s office since.

I've finally been able to navigate getting his remains released to me so that I can lay him to rest.

There will be a link to his obituary that I'll post shortly.

Rich was a complicated fellow in some regards. In most aspects, however, he was a simple man - he had dreams, he had struggles, and he had his demons, but most of all he had heart.

I've watched him change and grow and fight and struggle. He didn't hide anything about himself, and for a lot of people that was hard - for me, it was refreshing. We could always talk any time about anything. He told me any time he had an issue with me and we resolved it right away. He pointed out things to me no one else would, or they tried to be very gentle about it and it didn't work.

Rich changed me and my life for the better. And I'll always love and long remember and miss him as one of my best friends.

Please help Rich to have a final resting place ❤️
