Michael Dennis Rias was a humanitarian with a servant's heart. Starting from his time at the Naval Training Center (NTC) as a young 20-year-old man before being sent off to Vietnam. He returned only to give more selfless service right where he started. Being hired on to the City of San Diego Fire Department in 1977, where he retired around 2012. Having had a life of service to not only this country but also the city of San Diego with a fully earned retirement. One would think he would want to be done serving at that point, but not him. He served with the Coast Guard, Rural Metro & AMR as an EMT, where he loved working the special events until his FINAL CALL on 9/16/2022.
Our dearly departed Father left this world unexpectedly and did so with many financial obligations. He was dedicated to helping his family through any means necessary. We request help during this challenging time to meet some essential financial duties. My family and I would love to not only give him the very well-deserved honor he earned but to be at peace with his many unsettled affairs. Additionally, any funds raised would go towards funeral services and our dearly departed loved one’s memorial
