My name is Amir. I’m an independent filmmaker based in Canada, raising funds for a short narrative film currently moving into production.

This film tells the story of a young woman caught between two wars:

the real war threatening her loved one abroad, and the internal war inside her own family — between love, fear, and tradition.

It’s an intimate, human story about immigrant families, queer love, and what happens when war enters the home without warning.

This film focuses on what war does inside people — inside parents afraid of losing their children, and inside young people forced to choose between safety and love.

This story speaks to immigrant families, queer youth, and anyone who has ever been told their love is inconvenient, dangerous, or unacceptable.
