Please support my film about Children in Ukraine

Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Josh Good. I have been successfully making films for film and television for over 25 years. My website (www.joshuagood.com) will show you a good selection of my work.

I am making a film about the way the war in Ukraine is affecting children. Already, more than 2000 children have been killed. 3500 schools have been destroyed and most schools are closed with teaching taking place online or in bomb shelter classrooms. The film features children's voices, describing how the war has impacted their lives. It will be unflinching, honest and rigorously journalistic. It will seek to bring the viewer face to face with this tragic reality.

Making this film is extremely important to me because I know from experience of filming the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, it is always children who suffer the most. They don't understand the reasons behind conflict but their futures are damaged or even destroyed because their present is shattered. By hurting children we hurt our own futures because they are the future. This film will give them a powerful voice and remind us all that war and conflict are futile, damaging and utterly disastrous.

I believe this will be the most important film I have ever made.

In May I visited Ukraine for two weeks and filmed a 7 minute proof of concept film. Last month I returned to Ukraine and filmed children from Kharkiv, a frontline city that is under regular attack. At the end of October I will return to Kharkiv to film children attending an underground school. I will also cover what happens to Kharkiv after the American elections, the result of which could decide the city's future. This trip will entail costs for accommodation, food, transport and security and I am seeking to raise the necessary funding to cover those costs. After this visit I expect to be in a position to raise further funds for further trips that will be necessary to continue to make the full length version of this vitaly important film

I own my own camera and sound kit but will need further funding for the editing and distribution phases, for which I am currently preparing a budget. I will then be in a position to reach out to a range of funding agencies in the UK and further afield.

Please help me make this film. The stories we will tell are too important to be lost in the tragedy and chaos of war.
