A Fight For Mike

 

 

As many of you already know, On December 20th, 2021 Michael Hall had an emergency 12 hour heart surgery at Vancouver General Hospital. Mike has had an ongoing battle over the years with Marfan Syndrome but to have another problem with his heart was very unexpected and the chance of pulling through this surgery was 50/50 and thanks to an amazing team at VGH he did. During this surgery he went into cardiac arrest, now doctors fear Mike may have went too long without oxygen to his brain and spine, and CT scans have showed there are certain areas of concern showing brain damage and Michael has yet to move his legs. It truly is a Christmas Miracle that Mike pulled through this surgery to begin with and Mike is definitely on a very long road to recovery especially with the unknowns of what is happening with Michael neurologically, he is set to be in the ICU for a minimum of 4 weeks. Michael also had pneumonia and is being sedated as he becomes agitated when he comes off of the sedation.

 

If anyone knows Michael, he is the most kind caring and genuine person you could ever meet. Mike’s parents Dan & Sandi Hall flew out to Vancouver to be by his side. They have already received so much love & support from others including the golf community that Michael works with who all put money together to support Dan & Sandi with accommodations & food for a weeks stay at a hotel right outside VGH. This was unbelievably helpful for Mike’s parents to be by his side.

 

So we are starting this Gofundme to help Michael and his family be able to continue to support him as best as they can with their long journey ahead it’s going to be a lot of expenses for accommodation, travel, necessities, etc.
