Hi, I am a white male of 72 years of age, I live in Northern California. I am married and retired no children living at home but 4 adult children. I am also a Vetnam Vet, and have to pay for my medical care through the VA. This because I was injured in the Military (back injury) and when I put in for a pension I was told my records were lost in a fire. I am appealing the ruling, however, I am also paying income tax on my Social Security, (a law if spouse makes more than $32,000 a year which mine does SSi is taxed as income). Now the reason for this gofundme, I was diagnoised with Lung Cancer on Sept 21,2016, which spread to my lymphs in my chest. I can not afford the VA payments, Last month, Nov, my bill was $500.00 plus, a month later it's over $900.00. I am going through Radiation and Chemo Treatments, and being bill for it. I can't afford it. The bill is due now or it goes to collections soon. I am currently living on under $31,000.00 a year. I have car payment, rent, food, medical etc., just like you but I have cancer with a 40% success rate. Please help. I want to live and see my daughter get married, I want to live and be out of pain for the first time since I was 18 years old,
I have lived by the rules my whole life, never have asked for much for my self, I am asking for help now.
Saving a life is one of the most important missions in life.
As humans we strive to be kind, loving, compassionate, helpful, and caring. There are many ways to say thank you and to be honest this is hard for me because I am a giver not a taker. But this time I need the help, so with that said I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help, prayers, thoughts of recovery, all of it. I only have one life and I gave it once in the military and desease is trying to take it again. Thank you for who you are and any help you can give. THANK YOU
