A fight against time... help save Lisa's life.

Lisa, our sister, is quickly deteriorating from severe malnutrition and has suffered terribly due to severe gut dysmotility, extreme constipation and frequent impaction and dysphagia (difficulty swallowing with hiatus hernia) now because of all this and a very traumatic incident of hemorrhaging with a large fecaloma the size of a cantaloupe.

Lisa has been suffering from GI and bowel issues from adolescence. Two years ago she went to the ER with excruciating pain from constipation. No laxatives or enemas would help and the hospital was just dismissing her and misdiagnosed her condition. Two more hospitals later and severe pain that made her mental state deteriorate along with hemorrhaging from her anus. She had to endure such pain and suffering no human or animal should. She also had to endure alot of emotional, mental and physical abuse at the first two hospitals that misdiagnosed her and mistreated her. She was in such pain the morphine was not working and she would crawl to the nursing station crying for help and the security would pick her up and throw her on the bed.

Finally at the third hospital when it was at its worse with blood splattered all over the floors and walls of the hospital she was rushed into emergency surgery to remove a faecaloma the size of a melon and hard as rock. The surgeon advised us it was a good thing she refused laxatives the last two weeks cause it would have tore right through her. Fast foward that very traumatic incident and not being able to eat Lisa was omitted into ICU in January as she was severely underweight and malnourished and on her death bed.

She currently weighs 33 kilograms. Her organ

systems are quickly weakening. Lisa requires inpatient treatment focused on helping her get to a healthy weight. She needs physical, emotional and spiritual care so she can beat this.

Lisa has also lost many teeth four to multiple falls and infection, can no longer walk and needs close monitoring and has needed daily psws to help her with daily tasks. Social services have failed her. Lisa's wish is to be able to walk again and lead a normal life. To be able to play with her niece Stella at the park, help with our mother who has severe dementia and work as a counsellor for kids and teens because of all her experience. She loves children and has a soft spot for elderly and people in need. Please help her to return to life, health and a service.

Currently, Lisa is not getting adequate, specialized care in a facility as our health care system failed her. She needs private Physio therapy to try to get her moving and walking again, she need major dental work, PSW daily.

Our goal is to raise $160,000.00 to pay for the physio she needs to start walking again as well as a live in PSW services to help her until she physical do things for herself again. Our health system has failed her with her GI issues. She been on a waitlist for 2 years to see Ontario top GI specialist and missed it while in ICU and now she is looking at another minimum 1 year wait list.

We are hoping that we can help her before she completely gives up on herself. Lisa was always helping others with an open heart. She always was involved with churches and helping others in need. We hope we can get her back to her happy, loving, giving self that we all know and love.
