A Field for Fahey: Celebrity Home Run Derby
It's a final chapter, decades in the making.
30 years ago, Rich Fahey saw an article in the Boston Globe about the town of Marshfield, a beautiful beach community with great schools. And on a whim, he relocated his family to a home on Idaho Street. And while the town was quite possibly more beautiful than advertised, there was one glaring issue. The town's Little League fields were in a state of disrepair. My dad took one look at those fields and knew he had been brought to Marshfield for a reason.
After dedicating years of his life to the Rec Center, Marshfield Youth Baseball is now dedicating Rec Three to my Dad and naming the field Fahey Field! And it wouldn't be a Fahey family celebration without some fanfare!
