Hello. I am a 25-year-old aspiring author from Florida. I got fired from my job today over a made-up customer complaint. I was working at my job for months, being the best employee I could, but a customer (probably the disrespectful one I had issues serving that also called up to my job just to call me a slur and hang up) made a fake complaint to corporate saying I "wiped my sweaty forehead with their card." C'mon. Who does that? Not me.
But no, instead of checking the cameras that were above me the whole shift, instead of talking to me or seeing if it was true, they just believed them and fired me. This is completely unfair, and I see no reason for me to lose my livelihood over a made-up, false complaint. I'm trying to apply for unemployment, but I don't know if I'll get it. I've also spent the last few months applying to other jobs, and I have gotten no responses. I've already been homeless twice before. I don't want to be homeless again, especially over something that wasn't my fault.
I am only asking for help covering a few months at my place (Padsplit, $300 every two weeks, so about $600 monthly) until I find a new job or my situation changes.
