I am writing this for a fellow a nurse who has had a very difficult year. Amanda is a fellow home health nurse who would never ask anyone for help. She is the type of person who would help anyone else in need. She is one of the most caring, compassionate nurses I have had the honor of working with. Unfortunately her mother has been battling cancer for quite some time and passed this year on December 12th. Amanda went back and forth to Missouri many times to help her mother this year and between the plane tickets and her costly funeral is now struggling financially and has run out of paid leave. She is still trying to cope with the recent loss of her mother and best friend and with all this stress her transmission in her car has gone out as well which is estimated to cost about 4,000 to fix. She is a mother of 3 Boys(one grown with his own family) and the photo above is her complete family with her on the far left. I am hoping that we as friends and fellow nurses/coworkers and family can rally behind this Amazing woman and make her and family's Christmas as stress free as possible and maybe even help with the cost of getting her transmission fixed!
