Veteran battles unbelievable odds after stabbing

Good morning/afternoon/evening,
- My name is Joshua Reid Dixon, and I'm fundraising for Colby "Branch" Benton. On the evening of October 1st 2022, Branch and a group of close friends and family were celebrating his birthday when an uninvited guest showed up. After being asked to leave, the individual refused to comply before drawing a deadly weapon.
- Branch was stabbed in the neck, severing his jugular vein, carotid artery and vegas nerve. He suffered (2) major strokes, resulting in a Craniotomy, Echocardiography, Bronchoscopy, and over (30) CT Scans, X-rays, and MRIs. That's to name a couple of procedures. As of late, his recovery has had some additional costs and complications, including brain surgery and IV infusions for an infection. Physical therapy. Tube feeding and bedding equipment.
- The medical bills are going to be astronomical. Just to give an idea, one night spent in the operating room cost: $203,774.00.
- He was in a coma for (7) days on an air vent after having (7) surgical procedures performed. After having regained consciousness, when able, he began physical therapy at a step-down ICU for (2) weeks before moving to Rehab. He has now been authorized to go home but requires supervision periodically from a medical professional.
- He will be battling uphill for the rest of his life, working to regain mobility, living with medical complications. A donation, whether $1 or $10 will help support this Veteran and his family.
- Anyone that knows Branch, know him to be the life of the party, a man of good moral and ethics, a loving soul, a kind soul, a man with patience and love for anyone he encounters. He's a patriot who loves America, demonstrated in his four years of selfless service. He LOVES his family, his friends, the outdoors, horseback riding, working on his family ranch, and just being the sunshine on anyone's cloudy day.
- All funds accrued will be donated to his mother Clarissa Benton, on Branch's behalf.
