Hello, I'm from the US and I started this fundraiser to help my friend Mohammad Asaad Moteir raise donations that are vital to the survival of him and his five children. They are in urgent need of help. The winter has brought strong winds and heavy rain that is flooding and destroying what little they have. All funds raised will be used to provide essentials like food, shelter, and warm clothing. Here is a message from Mohammad:

My name is Mohammad Asaad Moteir, and I am from Gaza City. Until October 7th, my name was more than just a name in a vibrant city; I was a man who built comfort with his own hands. I owned a furniture factory. It wasn't just a business; it was my craft and my dream. My hands, which knew the texture of fabric and the shape of wood, were my source of pride. I built the furniture that filled the homes of others, while my own home was my true sanctuary.

My home was full of life, filled with the laughter of my five daughters: Rana, MIRA, Zaynab, Nour, and Misk. They are my most precious treasure. Rana, my eldest at just ten years old, was the little protector of her sisters, while the younger ones filled our house with noise and joy. Every evening, after a long day at the factory, I would return to my world waiting for me, and I felt like the richest man on earth.

Then came October 7th.

In a single moment, the world I knew turned to dust and rubble. The sound wasn't just an explosion; it was the sound of my future collapsing. They bombed my home, the place where I built my memories and dreams. They bombed my factory, my source of income and my dignity. In an instant, the man who built homes for others became a man with no roof over his own head.

We fled south, walking away from the wreckage of our lives. We now move between the tents of Rafah and Khan Younis, searching for shelter. We live today in a tent that barely shields us from the heat of the day and the cold of the night. I live a daily nightmare: no work, no money, not enough food, not enough clean water. All I own now are my five children, and my faith in God.

Every night, in the dark, cold tent, I look at the faces of my sleeping daughters, and my heart breaks. I look at Rana trying to be strong, and I see the fear in her eyes. I look at the younger ones, and I feel my helplessness at being unable to provide for them, to protect them, or even to give them a loaf of bread. How can I explain to them that we have lost everything? How can I shield them from the cold of the tent and the harshness of this reality?

I am writing to you today not as a man asking for charity, but as a father asking for a chance. A chance to be a father again. A chance to rebuild a home for my children. A chance to rebuild a future for them. A chance to see a real, lasting smile on their faces instead of the fear I see in them now.

Your help is not just a financial donation. It is a brick in the foundation of a new life. It is hope for a father who feels helpless. It is a promise to five little girls that their world can be beautiful again.

Please, help me. Help me become a father to a home again, and a builder of a future for my five daughters.
