A Father's Plea: Help Rose Regain Her Life

Hi, I’m Clair Roberts. I'm reaching out to you today with a heartfelt appeal to support Oka Satira, an extraordinary individual I had the pleasure of meeting during my travels in Bali this past February. Oka first connected with my partner three years ago, and his genuine kindness has kept us in contact ever since. Meeting Oka in person only solidified my admiration for him. He is the most devoted and generous man, dedicating himself tirelessly to his family and to providing unforgettable experiences for the tourists he guides.

Oka Satria is a kind-hearted and dedicated Balinese man who works tirelessly to support his family. He lives with his parents, wife, and three children, including his 13-year-old daughter, Rose. For years, Rose has been battling scoliosis, a condition that has progressively worsened, causing her immense pain and hindering her ability to attend school and enjoy a normal life.

Due to the high cost of healthcare in Bali, Oka's family has struggled to afford the necessary medical care for Rose. Despite his best efforts, Oka was forced to prioritise providing for his family's basic needs, and Rose's condition was not addressed as urgently as it should have been. Now, Rose's scoliosis has reached a critical stage, with a nearly 50-degree curve in her spine. While a brace was initially fitted, the pain it caused was unbearable, leaving Rose and her family feeling helpless.

With the opening of a new hospital in Bali, Rose now has the opportunity to undergo life-changing scoliosis surgery. However, Oka is unable to afford the procedure, leaving him heartbroken and filled with guilt. As the sole provider for his family, he has exhausted all available resources.

We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to help Rose regain her life.
