A Father's Love, A Son's Fight — Help Duda and Eduardo

Friends, family, and anyone who believes in miracles,

I’m writing to you today with a heart full of both sorrow and hope, asking for help for Duda and his father, Eduardo.

Duda is an incredible young man — a brain cancer survivor who has fought battles that would break most of us. Now, he faces his hardest fight yet. The treatments that once saved his life have taken a toll on his body. Duda is now on oxygen and battling liver failure. His doctors have given him two months to live unless he receives a transplant.

Through every moment of this painful journey, Eduardo — his father, his biggest supporter — has been by his side. Every appointment, every hospital stay, every difficult day, Eduardo has been there. But standing by his son’s side has meant stepping away from work, and the bills haven't stopped coming. They’ve struggled to keep the lights on, to have running water, to keep a roof over their heads. Only through the kindness of coworkers were they able to make it through last month.

And now — tonight — a spark of hope: the hospital has called. A liver may be available. A chance at life.

But they can’t do this alone. They need us. They need all of us.
