Hi, my name is Melanie and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during one of the hardest times my family has faced.

My father, who is 59 years old, was detained several months ago and is now being deported back to Mexico. He’s currently in transit, often being moved through unsafe and dangerous locations. As heartbreaking as this situation is, an immigration attorney recently gave us a glimmer of hope even if my dad is sent back to Mexico, we may still be able to fight for him to return but time and resources are running out.

As a U.S. citizen, I’ve been told that I may be able to request him back legally, especially considering our family’s situation. I’m the oldest of 6 siblings, and two of them are in special education (which can help my dads case significantly) We are doing everything we can to stay afloat with bills and keep a roof over our heads, but we simply cannot afford the high costs of legal help on our own.

The attorney is ready to help us, but we need to raise the funds to begin the process. This includes legal fees, document preparation, and ongoing case support. We’re asking for help not because we want to but because we have no other choice right now. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us closer to keeping our family together.
