Hello—Thank you for taking a moment to read Nick’s story. As a disabled veteran, I understand the challenges that life can present, but nothing could prepare me for the crisis we are facing now. On December 22, my son Nick was in a serious car accident and sustained a severe frontal-lobe head injury. He is currently in a medically induced coma while doctors work to stabilize him and treat complications. Adding to our challenges, Nick had recently started a new job and was on a 90-day probationary period which meant he did not qualify for medical insurance. This sudden crisis has been devastating for our family emotionally, and it has created urgent financial burdens we never expected.

Why we are raising Funds:

Medical Bills: ICU stays, specialist care, imaging and ongoing treatments (they add up quickly)

Rehabilitation: If and when Nick wakes up, he will likely need intensive physical occupational and speech therapy- often for months or longer

Medications and Equipment: Pain management, specialized equipment, and home modifications (may be required)

Family support/Caregiver fees: Loved ones may need to take unpaid leave to be by his side, coordinate care and manage logistics. If no family member is available, we may need to hire someone to initially care for his needs.

Nick is a loving, generous person who lights up any room. He is a devoted family member, a loyal friend and someone who always helps others. He deserves every chance to recover and rebuild his life.

Every dollar will go directly toward Nick’s medical expenses and recovery needs, hospital and ICU costs, surgeries, rehabilitation and therapy, medications, medical equipment, and other necessary expenses during his care. We will provide updates and transparency about how funds are spent.
