A Gold Star Fathers final wishes George Burridge

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Carla and I'm fundraising for George, below is a message from his daughter:

Friends/ Family members of the Burridge's, as some of you may know my dad George was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in April of this year, which has quickly metastasized to his liver. The last 6 months have been filled with tears, countless doctor appointments, Hospital stays, loss of eyesight, Pet scans, CT scans, and x-rays. Through it, my dad has genuinely tried to remain strong for us all. He has worked every day since receiving his diagnosis, unfortunately, with the cost of every out-of-pocket medical expense, there wasn't much left for his bucket list and or final expenses. Unfortunately, this past week has taken a major toll on him. He was admitted into the Hospital Saturday and underwent another emergency surgery. We were informed Sunday that the Cancer has progressed even more and is now in his lungs, and he was given 4-6 weeks to be with us. He has chosen quality over quantity now and will no longer be treating the cancer. He is at peace with this decision.

The last 6 months have not been easy. I am truly grateful to have been able to reconnect with him and build memories we both can cherish. He has been strong for us all and now it's our turn to be strong for him. Which leads me to create this page.
One of his final wishes is to visit the snow one more time before his time with us is over, however, We are not sure he can make the trip so I am currently looking to get a snow machine so that we can turn his house into a winter wonderland. Also, burial costs are not so cheap, so as hard as this is to ask anything anyone would help with would be so greatly appreciated.
All funds collected will be %100 allocated to his final expenses, and to bring him home and lay him to rest with his son at Lafayette Memorial. If any funds are remaining, they will be donated in honor of him to the American Cancer society so that they may continue their research and hopefully find a cure for this aggressive disease.

"Love not cancer, defines our final weeks together"
