​A Fathers Fight

​We are urgently asking for help to raise $10,000 to secure immediate legal counsel for our beloved Dakota. Dakota is a dedicated father facing deportation, which threatens to tear him away from his family—including his little girl and his second child who is on the way.

​This is not just about immigration; this is about keeping a family whole.

​Dakota had been working through the legal process to obtain his green card and establish permanent status, but faced the inability to cover the large filing fees. Despite this, he is now facing deportation.

​Earlier this morning, my nephew Dakota was detained by ICE. The situation was terrifying: agents in all black rushed him into an unmarked car with guns pointed at his face. This sudden, aggressive action is devastating!

​​Dakota's only hope now is to hire specialized immigration legal counsel immediately to appeal this deportation order and fight to be reunited with his family.​ Every day that passes makes it harder to bring him home.

​Funds will go to covering the necessary legal fees and costs for his attorney to begin work on his appeal. We must raise these funds as quickly as possible to give Dakota the legal support he deserves to argue his case.

We have raised about half of our initial $3,500 goal, bringing us closer to securing the upfront retainer needed for immediate legal counsel.

​However, as the legal battle progresses, we have received a clearer and more comprehensive assessment of the fight ahead.

​We are increasing our campaign goal from $3,500 to $10,000.

​The initial $3,500 was only enough to get the attorney started. The total anticipated cost for specialized legal defense is now estimated to be $15,000.

​To ensure Dakota has the legal resources necessary to challenge this; cover essential court fees, and fund crucial counsel hours, we need to raise at least $10,000. This is the only way to give him the best chance to win his case and be reunited with his little girl and unborn child.
