Hi, my name is Gretel, and I am reaching out on behalf of my beautiful friend Glenda, a gifted ballet dancer with the WA Ballet, and her beloved father, Roberto.

Just weeks ago, Roberto arrived from Cuba to visit his daughter, thrilled to finally see her perform and spend time with her—a moment they had both dreamed about for years. But soon after his arrival, their joy was shattered. Roberto received a diagnosis no family is ever prepared to hear: he has a brain tumor that requires urgent, life-saving treatment here in Australia.

This news has turned their world upside down. Roberto, a devoted husband and father, is the anchor of Glenda’s life. He has always been there to support her dreams, her biggest fan, cheering her on from thousands of miles away. Now, Glenda is watching her father’s health slip away, knowing that time is not on their side.

Coming from Cuba, where resources are limited, Glenda and her family are facing unimaginable medical expenses that they simply cannot bear alone.
