My name is Yusuf Abd Al-Wahab.
I am a Palestinian father from Rafah, Gaza. Today, I do not live a normal life—I live torn between two fires:
My daughter, battling cancer in the United States, and my young son under bombardment here in Gaza… and I am torn between them.
My daughter, Lynn, is 12 years old, about to turn 13, and she has been fighting acute leukemia for months.
My wife traveled with our three children to the United States through humanitarian efforts to provide Lynn with treatment at the NIH Clinical Center in Washington, D.C.
But I was not granted permission to travel with them… so I remain here alone with my little son, Mohammad, in the heart of danger.
Every night, I receive calls from Lynn. Her voice is weak, but she tries to sound strong, whispering:
“Dad... come, I need you... I’m scared for Mohammad, I’m scared for you all.”
I am a father, and nothing in this world is harsher than being denied the chance to hold your child while she fights for her life.
Every day that passes without me by her side feels like I’m losing a part of myself.
Why am I asking for help?
I am appealing to you to help me raise funds for:
Coordinating my exit from Gaza under ongoing bombardment
Travel tickets for myself and my son Mohammad
Temporary living expenses in the United States
Transportation and basic care costs
I am not asking for a miracle… only a chance to be a real father, present, loving, and supporting my daughter through her difficult battle.
Every day of delay means:
Increased risk of death for me or my son due to the war
Deterioration of Lynn’s health and mental state due to my absence
Losing the last chance for comprehensive treatment supported by family.
Donate whatever you can

Pray for Lynn, Mohammad, me, and all those torn apart by war and illness
From my heart to yours,
Yusuf Abd Al-Wahab
