When Survival Becomes a Family’s Only Dream

I never imagined that I would one day need to ask for help. I was always someone who gave to my family, my wife and children, and my community, guided by the values of compassion and responsibility.

My name is Saad, a Palestinian father from Gaza. Before the war, I worked as a freelance graphic designer. Through my work, I provided for my family with dignity and independence, always focused on building a safe future for my children.

Everything changed when the war began. Our home was destroyed, my work stopped, and my family and I were displaced. With constant bombing, forced displacement, and the collapse of electricity and internet, I lost all sources of income and stability.

Early in the war, my son Jamal was injured and suffered fractures in his arm. As the violence intensified and my children’s psychological state worsened, I was forced to make the most painful decision of my life—to separate my family in order to save them.

On April 21, 2024, I managed to evacuate my wife and our two youngest children, Jamal (4) and Sara (7), to Egypt so my son could receive treatment and they could live in a safer environment. Days later, I was supposed to follow with the rest of my family, but the crossing closed. I have been trapped in Gaza ever since separated from my wife and young children.

Today, I am raising my other children alone in Gaza: Wasim (14), Mayar (12), and Dima (10), while also caring for my elderly parents. At the same time, I must support my wife and children in Egypt, covering housing, food, and school expenses—without any income.

My father urgently needs eye surgery that I cannot afford. To survive, I have accumulated heavy debt just to secure the most basic needs.
This campaign is a lifeline. It aims to provide:
Safe shelter
Basic daily necessities
Medical treatment for my father
Relief from urgent debt
Hope for family reunification

I promise full transparency and regular updates. Any contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference. If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign means more than you know.

Thank you for seeing us.
