A Father of Two Fighting for Time – stage 4 cancer

Donation protected
We are going through the most difficult time of our lives, trying to stay strong for our two daughters while facing a devastating diagnosis. My husband is only 46 years old. He had no symptoms when we were given the shocking news that he had been diagnosed from the start with advanced stage 4 gleason 9 aggressive Prostate Cancer that had already spread to his bones and lymph nodes.
We have two daughters, aged 12 and 16, and our world has been turned upside down.
He has already started standard NHS treatment to slow the progression of the disease. However, we understand that if and when the cancer develops resistance to this treatment, he may require a further option called Lutetium-177 therapy.
This treatment is not currently available on the NHS due to extreme costs and must be accessed privately.
Each dose costs around £15,000, and he would need approximately 6 doses, making the total cost around £90,000, not including scans, consultations, and other medical expenses.
He is the best husband and father to our two daughters I could ever imagine. He is kind, loving, and has always been the positive spirit in our home. He lifts us up even on the hardest days.
He loves the outdoors and is a huge Star Wars fan — something that has always brought him joy and comfort.
Since his diagnosis, his condition has caused increasing pain, fatigue, and difficulty with daily life and constant worry for the future. Our days are now focused on managing symptoms, attending appointments, and trying to live our lifes and enjoy the time we have as a family.
We are a very small family with no strong support network here in the UK, and we are facing this journey largely on our own, which makes everything even more overwhelming.
We are raising funds to help cover:
-Private Lu-177 treatment cycles
-Specialist consultations and scans
-Travel to treatment centres and hospitals
-day-to-day living costs
This treatment represents a chance not only to slow progression and give us more time together as a family, but also to protect and support our daughters’ future, emotionally and financially, for as long as possible.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean more than we can ever express. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would also make a huge difference.
Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness and support you can offer during this incredibly difficult time.
