My father Ashir Gurshumov (64) is a remarkable individual who has always put others' needs before his own. The illness of my father has progressed to the point where he is in a state of denial, depression, and hopelessness.

In June of last year, he was diagnosed with end stage renal disease as a result of diabetes. For him, this was a significant setback as he was forced to accept the fact that he would no longer be able to control his life. During the course of his treatment, he was subjected to constant dialysis and doctor's appointments. His restlessness and exhaustion rendered him incapable of standing for more than a few minutes.

Since starting dialysis, my father's health has significantly declined. He is dependent on devices throughout the day. He spends time in and out of hospitals due to various ailments such as shortness of breath, low hemoglobin requiring blood transfusions, fluid overload, etc. Furthermore, he is no longer considered a candidate for kidney transplantation by some medical facilities because he is oxygen dependent.

As my father's caretaker/advocate, I am anxiously seeking hope and a miracle so that my father can continue living.

Any state/country that can provide him with a kidney transplant will be considered. I am willing to relocate him there. I would appreciate any information that you can provide as I continue my research. I'm looking for any assistance, guidance, or direction that you can offer.

Considering he has been unemployed since 2020 (because of COVID), he cannot even meet today's inflationary costs of living. I have been helping in any way I can. There are certain treatments that my father needs to remain stable that insurance does not cover.

My son need his grandfather. Leaving my best friend behind is not something I am prepared for.
