A Father a Fighter - You're Tim and our boys Last Hope!
Donation protected
It has been 48 hours since our world was turned upside down.
On Monday, my partner Tim was rushed to the ICU after struggling to breathe. They drained nearly 3 litres of fluid from his chest. After extensive testing, we received the most devastating news—Tim has been diagnosed with a rare and extremely aggressive Stage 4 cancer.
The cancer started in his stomach and has already spread throughout his abdominal cavity and into the lining of his lungs. It’s moving through his blood and lymphatic system, attacking his body from the inside.
Tim is now in Stage 4—the final and most critical phase of this disease. Cancer cells have been found in the fluid around his lungs (the pleura), and while there are no tumours in his lungs yet, we know that window is closing fast.
But there is still hope.
Right now, there is a narrow opportunity to stop the cancer from taking full hold of his lungs. If we can do that, Tim could become eligible for one of the most advanced cancer treatments available—HIPEC.
HIPEC is a highly targeted chemotherapy technique that delivers heated chemotherapy drugs directly into the abdominal cavity. It’s one of the only treatments with the potential to destroy the microscopic cancer cells still floating inside his body—and it offers a real chance at long-term survival, even for advanced cancer patients.
Without treatment, the average life expectancy for this cancer is 3–9 months. With basic care, maybe 11 months. But with early intervention, access to private care, and advanced therapies like HIPEC, Tim’s chance of surviving 5 years or more becomes very real.
We live in Melbourne with our three beautiful boys—Cortez (11), Kassius (7), and Evander (1). We had just opened our new business together. We were finally building the life we’d always dreamed of… until everything changed overnight.
This diagnosis has shattered our world.
We don’t have a big support network. We’re doing everything we can, but the cost of treatment, travel, time off work, specialist consultations, and caring for our three kids is more than we can manage on our own—especially now, in a cost-of-living crisis.
Right now, we’re still waiting on biopsy results and trying to find an oncologist who specialises in this rare and fast-moving cancer. Every moment matters.
Please understand—our children don’t know the full story. They’re already crying for their dad every day. We are protecting them as best we can. We ask that you not discuss this with them directly.
We’re asking—desperately—for help.
Public healthcare has already told us they won’t pursue a cure or even attempt to reduce the cancer—only to slow it down and “keep him comfortable.”
But if this were your partner, your son, your father—would that be enough?
It’s not enough for me. I won’t accept that.
That’s why I’m asking for your support. To help me give Tim a fighting chance—to access private specialists, advanced treatments, and the slim but powerful hope that we can stop this cancer before it fully settles in his lungs.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us move forward. Every share, every message, every prayer gives us strength.
Please help me fight for Tim. Please help me save our family.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
