Our family is grieving the unexpected passing of my uncle, Ronald Flores. He passed away on Wednesday the 12th from natural causes, and while we are grateful he went peacefully, the loss has been incredibly heavy for us all.

If you knew Ronald, you know he was one of a kind. He had a huge personality and a quick comeback for everything. His sense of humor could make you roll your eyes and laugh at the same time. But most importantly, he had a heart that always showed up.

He leaves behind his two sisters and his mother, who are feeling this loss in a way that's hard to put into words. He also leaves behind cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. The silence he leaves behind feels unreal.

As the family moves forward with his cremation and viewing arrangements, the costs have added up quickly. Anything you're able to donate, no matter the amount, would truly help lighten the load during this difficult time.

His viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 26th at Mehl's in Watsonville at 5pm, for anyone who would like to come say goodbye.

Nuestra familia está de luto por el fallecimiento inesperado de mi tío, Ronald Flores. Él falleció el miércoles 12 por causas naturales, y aunque estamos agradecidos de que se haya ido en paz, la pérdida ha sido increíblemente difícil para todos nosotros.

Quienes conocieron a Ronald saben que era único. Tenía una personalidad enorme y siempre tenía una respuesta lista para cualquier cosa. Su sentido del humor podía hacerte poner los ojos en blanco y reír al mismo tiempo. Pero lo más importante es que tenía un corazón que siempre estaba presente cuando se necesitaba.

Deja atrás a sus dos hermanas y a su madre, quienes están sintiendo esta pérdida de una manera que es difícil expresar con palabras. También deja atrás primos, tías, tíos, y amigos. El silencio que deja se siente irreal.

A medida que la familia avanza con los arreglos de su cremación y su velorio, los costos han aumentado rápidamente. Cualquier donación, sin importar la cantidad, realmente ayudará a aligerar la carga en este momento tan difícil.

Su velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 26 de noviembre en Mehl’s en Watsonville a las 5 p.m., para quienes deseen venir a despedirse.
