A Farewell Memorial

Our names are Shannon Price & Kenya Helton

We are the daughters of Christy Price.

We are fund raising to help give our Mother a proper Memorial.

All of the donations will help with her cremation and proper Memorial service. We as a family are all suffering from financial hardships. And we just want to send our mother out with respect! And our mothers peers will also like to be a part of the process. So this GoFundMe will allow her closest friends, family and coworkers help reach out in anyway they feel matters to them. And we want to provide a safe place for them to reach out and also pay their respects.

My mom was dealt a hand she wasn’t expecting in her life and she dealt with it the best way she knew how.

She suffered a very serious bacterial pneumonia in 2019 that cause her to rely on and oxygen tank. When that happen she was forced to retire early.

And During that time she dedicated her time and effort’s in helping her Union peers and coworkers of SEIU.

6 month into that COVID-19 pandemic impacted us All with a quarantine that lasted over a year. And during that time she was diagnosed with lung cancer.

She began seeking treatment right away! And She fought a good fight while she could. But the cancer had other plans.. Unfortunately she got so ill that she couldn’t continue the treatment. It took the movement from her legs first! And things just started taking a different turn as weeks went by.

She had only begun her battle with cancer at the beginning of August of this year 2021!

She has lost the battle in less than a few months!

She gave it her best!

Now we just want make her memory Memorable
