Sabbath has been my best friend for over 10 years and unfortunately now is the time we need to say goodbye.

Many of you met Sabbath and know his very distinct silly and loving personality (and fish breath). Those of you who don't even like cats very much always warmed to him and said you'd never met a cat like him. I've never met a cat like him either, a bottomless pit stealing mushrooms out of the kitchen behind my back and falling asleep listening to Sisters of Mercy. Riyad and Sabbath have only known each other a couple of years, yet they cuddle and dance together like they've known each other their entire lives.

He's been my companion, seen my life change through the good and the bad and always been there to make me laugh or dry my tears, which is why we need to give him the perfect send off.

Unfortunately his quality of life has declined rapidly over the last few weeks which is why the heartbreaking decision has been made to end his suffering and put him to sleep. A home euthanasia is what we have in mind as he always had home vet visits and I can't stand the thought of him being in a vet for the last time and never coming home. He deserves his final hours to be as stress free as possible.

With that however, comes with fees. We need around £700 for a home euthanasia, transportation of the body, cremation and small urn. £700 is something we don't have to hand which is why we're reaching out for a helping hand.

We appreciate times are hard and not everyone is in a position to donate, a share would also be massively appreciated if this is the case. Help is something I am not very good at asking for, so anything donated we will be eternally grateful for.
