A Farewell for a Father to All: Sergio Alagos
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Marianne Alagos, and I am the granddaughter of Sergio Alagos—a deeply loved father, grandfather, and the pillar of our family.
On June 18th at 7:28 AM in the Philippines, my Lolo passed away after a difficult battle with a brain hemorrhage and pneumonia. He was 74 years old.
My grandfather wasn’t just Lolo to us—he was a father to all and a grandfather to everyone around him. He was a kind, selfless man whose love ran deep, and he devoted his entire life to his family.
He raised seven children, and when my grandmother passed away, he took on the responsibility of raising all of them alone—with a one-month-old baby in his arms. Every morning, he would bring his kids to work with him, watching over them with quiet strength. He never remarried. He poured all of his time, love, and energy into raising his children and later became a loving grandfather who taught us all what true sacrifice and loyalty look like.
He is deeply loved by everyone who knew him, and his presence will be missed beyond words. I’m incredibly proud to be his granddaughter.
As we prepare to lay him to rest in his hometown of Antique, we’re asking for support to help cover his funeral and burial expenses. Any contribution—whether through donation, a share, or a prayer—means the world to us and helps us honor the life of a man who gave everything without ever asking for anything in return.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping us celebrate his life.
With love,
Marianne Alagos
