Hello! My name is Addy Prado, and after six years of pursuing a music career in Nashville, I recently hit what felt like a dead end. In the midst of that season, I posted a hymn on TikTok — really just an honest prayer for direction. I never expected it to connect with so many people.
But the response was overwhelming. That one video sparked a hymn series which has now reached millions of listeners all over the world. People are not only listening and sharing, but also requesting their favorite hymns and leaving messages that move me to tears:
- “This is what heaven must sound like.”
- “As a pastor’s grandkid with religious trauma, I usually hate hymns… but you are teaching me to love them again.”
- “There is something about your voice and the songs you sing that immediately put me at peace.”
By far, the #1 request I keep hearing is “Please record a hymns album!”
With your help, I’d love to do exactly that. My vision is to create a simple, stripped-down project — just my voice and guitar, recorded with care from my home studio. Because albums take time, and I don’t want to make you wait too long, I’ll be releasing it as a series of three EPs over the course of the next year, which will eventually come together as a full album.
Each donation will go directly towards bringing these hymns to life, as well as the costs involved, such as mixing, mastering, cover artwork, and distribution. This project isn’t backed by a label or an industry machine. It’s fan-supported. TikTok community-driven. It’s for everyone who has written, listened, shared, and encouraged me to keep going. Honestly, I believe God is doing something incredible with these hymns, and I want to honor and steward it well.
