Hi everyone, my name is Robyn, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart. My husband Stephen and I have three amazing kids — Emma (15), Garrett (13), and Charlotte (3). Our family has been through a lot over the past couple of years, and we’re doing everything we can to keep our heads above water.

In 2023, I lost my long-time job of six years, and then in 2024, Stephen lost his job of ten years at Apple. Losing both of our steady incomes within such a short time completely turned our world upside down. Since then, we’ve worked hard to stay afloat through multiple lower-paying jobs, scraping by however we could.

We’ve finally begun to find stability again — I’m now working for a tech company, and Stephen recently started with a government contractor. We’re so grateful for that progress, but we’re still catching up from the months we fell behind. Right now, we’re three months behind on our mortgage, totaling $8,526.96, and our mortgage company will not accept partial payments. Every day we live with the fear of losing our home — the place where our kids feel safe, where we’ve built our lives, and where we’re still trying to rebuild our sense of security.

Stephen faces several chronic health issues, including diabetes and polycystic kidney disease, which bring significant monthly medical expenses. I also live with chronic health conditions that require ongoing medication each month. On top of that, our youngest daughter, Charlotte, is in the process of being diagnosed with autism and a speech delay. She currently attends weekly speech therapy sessions and will likely need occupational therapy as well to support her development. Not to mention the daycare cost (very reasonable for the level of care she receives!!).

Our monthly mortgage payment is $2,750, on top of regular bills like electricity, gas, water, internet, and phones. We’ve cut out every non-essential expense and pared our budget down to the absolute basics, but there’s nothing left to trim. We’re fighting to keep our home and hold onto the stability we’ve been working so hard to rebuild.

We’re not the kind of people who ask for help easily. We’ve always worked hard, done our best, and helped others when we could. But this time, we truly can’t do it alone.

We’re asking for help to catch up on our mortgage and keep our family in our home. Every single donation, share, or kind word helps more than you know. If you’ve ever been through hard times, you know how humbling it is to ask — but also how powerful community can be when people come together.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story and for helping us protect our home and our children’s sense of safety.

With love and gratitude,
Robyn & Stephen
